Leaves of an Autumn

Being an avid fan of Japan, I’ve been to the country 3 times. And 3 times I’ve been to Osaka, but only twice to Osakajo.

It was only on my second trip in 2009 with my husband, then boyfriend, did I get to explore more of the area. While Winter was supposed to have arrived, Autumn decided to extend her stay just a little longer. And as I experienced Autumn for the first time, I fell in love with the crisp golden leaves that made its presence felt everywhere.

I can only thank my lucky stars that we decided to explore the grounds instead of the usual castle view. But while it was a good decision, the quaint area of the place made us realise that there isn’t much traffic available for us to grab an assistant photographer for a couple shoot, especially when we left our tripod back home! Thankfully, a lady did pass by us as I attempted to explain to her with hand gestures on how we would like our shot to be framed.

Moral of the story: Leave no tripod behind…
